THE PANCAKE HUB 17 Jibowu Street, Jibowu, Yaba, Lagos. Fairly easy to locate; Lots of parking space The pancake hub is located in a white and blue building in Jibowu, Yaba. It took me a while to find it due to no fault of the owners’. I was just a little disoriented. The inside of the compound is very nature-y. There are lots of trees and of course, air. The hub is a small enclosed stall with an open sitting area. It was really quiet; which was a plus. No music or noise. I just sat back and read while I waited for my meal. The menu looked pretty interesting. It's a strict pancake breakfast menu, with all sorts of well thought out combos. whether it's with scrambled eggs, fruit toppings, ice cream, meatballs, sausages or even vegetables, the menu doesn't seem to run out of combo ideas. I ordered the full combo meal [because I was curious about the meatballs]. The meal came in less than 30 minutes, with a bottle of lemonade, and it looked really good. The pancakes were so fluffy and there was a generous amount of syrup. I also had meatballs, sausages and chicken fillet covered in pepper on my plate. The Yoruba girl in me was pretty happy. The meatballs tasted really good and they had carrots in them which I really liked. The sausages were just right and the chicken was moist. It was such a large meal, I couldn’t eat everything; ended up taking the chicken home. Pro tip: Go to the pancake hub when you’re proper starving; you’ll go home happy. Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ Price Full Combo Meal – N3, 000 Recommendations So, I had a pretty good time. The servers were nice and so was the food. I really hated the fact that I spent a lot of time swatting away flies. The outdoorsy setting contributed a lot towards that I guess but it was annoying. Also, my eggs were cold [eww] so I just ate around them. The person who waited on me apologized for the eggs but that didn’t really change anything. |
