Jazz By Chrysalis
No 4 Mogaji Aare Street, opposite D'rovans Hotel, Ring Road, Ibadan. Nigeria.
Enough space for parking.

Chrysalis has started to turn its brand into some sort of food chain but doing it in their own way. They have created another branch that has maintained everything we absolutely love about them. But it gets better. Apart from its "lowkey" demeanor, mellow ambience, and simple menu, they've added the option of a jazz live band. It's also a bigger place, better lighting but still has that chrysalis mellow tone. If you've been reading our post, chrysalis was where we did our very first review and it wasn't disappointing.

We settled in and made our orders. Ordered for the cheese bacon burger, bistro chicken pasta and mashed potatoes with pork. The burger is a pretty layered bun, beef, bacon and cheese combo. Apt size and aesthetically pleasing. I didn't like the bacon as it didn't taste so fresh but it was great all the same.

The bistro chicken pasta was my favorite. I could go back over and over for this particular dish. It's spaghetti stirred with chicken strips, mushrooms, bell peppers, carrots and grilled chicken served with a jumbo of battered prawn in tomato sauce. Love how every bite seem to surprise you with either mushrooms, chicken strips or prawns.

The mashed potatoes with pork was good too, semi firm texture with the much tender grilled pork. The gravy seemed different from what we had in the previous review but good all the same

RECOMMENDATIONS
Chrysalis has proved itself to be one of the best restaurants in Ibadan over the years. They have done everything right and hence always ensured dynamic customer satisfaction adapted to the city's needs. The jazz branch is ideal for dates, get together, dinners and even parties. I still get fascinated every time by how much they've accomplished with no broadcasting, advertisements, or publicity of any kind. Good meals and great meal service.

Honestly I don't know why I'm just finding your blog. Your restaurant reviews are such a great guide, and it also really helps that you state prices seeing as restaurants in Ibadan do not seem to be big on having websites.
