Fusion gourmet 14-18 lady Lawson st, Edinburgh EH3 9DS. UK. Fusion Gourmet is one of the city’s most frequently patronized Chinese restaurant. It boasts of an extensive menu that covers all bases from appetisers, soups through to pork and poultry, beef and lamb, seafood, rice, noodle and dumpling dishes. However, you’ll find plenty of signature culinary flair if you opt for the griddle-cooked dishes or one of the chef’s specials. Customer service is great. A lot of art work, nice lights, sophisticated blend of colors and a nice view of the street. The woven cane lampshades blend so well with the muted grey walls. It gives off a homey and contemporary feel. The menu has one of the most bizarre source of proteins I've encountered. The chefs here don't shy away from cooking animal products others wouldn't dare. Started off with some prawn crackers. Fusion takes presentation very seriously. They made prawn crackers look so extra. Won my heart already. Ordered from the poultry dish. The chicken chow mien and chicken pepper goizard. The chow mien was tasty with strips of chicken appropriately juggled into the mix . The pepper goizard had bits of pepper, diced marinated fried chicken and roasted peanuts. It looks a lot like the less oily version of kung pao chicken. Very much enjoyable. RATING ☆☆☆☆ PRICE Prawn Cracker- £2.60 Chicken Chow Mien- £9.80 Chicken pepper goizard- £11 RECOMMENDATIONS If you're in the area I urge you to check Fusion Gourmet. It's ideal for dates, family eat out or any type of outing. It's not so big so birthday dinners or larger events might not be so convenient. There's a lot of artistry that goes on here. |
